With a focus on sustainability, Quest Festival returns for a weekend of underground and electronic music culture in Ba Vi Mountains, North of Vietnam.

Quest Festival started in 2013 when a group of 250 friends decided to go camping in the Ba Vi Mountains, North of Vietnam. There, they had a rave for 3 consecutive days within the forest. Little did they know, their weekend getaway has turned into the biggest multi-day music festival of the country so far.

Located in rustic site and surrounded by Dong Mo lake, this art celebration is the first of Vietnam that earns its place on the list of most scenic festivals in the world by Amex. During the past 5 years, Quest has been a sustainable arts festival emphasizing on natural resources for camp construction. For example, most materials used come from natural, indigenous woods. Bamboo is also one of the main building materials used for big performance stages.

Leaning towards art collaborations, the festival aims to act as a celebration for electronic music lovers whilst at the same time offering a mixed assortment of music to suit all tastes. The theme of Quest revolves around the Four Holy Beasts in Vietnamese Mythology – the Turtle, the Phoenix, the Dragon, and the Qilin. Each of these creatures represents auspicious blessings and are considered the traditional symbols of Vietnam. The audience will recognize them as the main inspirations for a lot of installations, performance, stage designs as well as the opening act for this year Quest.

The festival draws in local artists and employers during its three-day span, creating a vast amount of business and training opportunities. It is a chance for upcoming and developing artists to further their career as well as welcoming tourism dollars into the Vietnamese economy.
