Hey Hivers,

HiveLife is closing... it's been almost 5 years since we opened doors.

I want to thank you for all the support. Especially the early supporters, my close friends and family members.

It has been quite a journey.

Hey guys, long time no blog. Thanks for those who still blog here from time to time, shows HiveLife is still being appreciated... I really should update more often. Maybe I should start a company or something. =] But thanks guys for still using it.

This morning I was looking around, and decided to use my HiveLife, powered by Google search. Since I'm always using Google, might as well benefit from it. So I took out some unnecessary stuff out of the HiveLife ...

After switching servers numerous times, HiveLife has found a new home. Hopefully all goes well, everything seems to be working great. =]

You now can set your entries to be private, so that you'll log it, but it is not viewable by the public.

This bumped it up to version alpha .12

To take advantage of those links, make sure to get the new or IE7.

Also I didn't realize it, but HiveLife's been Up for more than 3 years now... wow Time sure does fly... ...

Happy festivities everyone! Spent last night switching back to the previous server because the new one couldn't hack it. But I did learn alot of various linux distros, and am better for it!

HiveLife is on a new distro of linux, and it seems to run faster =]

Well we just had our first Blizzard of the Winter, and HiveLife was down almost all day! =0, but yeh, sorry Hivers, there was a request to make hivelife.com/username work again, and a long story short, I upgraded from Apache 2.0 to Apache 2.2, Than I had to uninstall that, and went back to the good-ole Apache 1.3 ... =] those of you who don't know what I'm talking about don't worry... just know that HiveLife went back to the classic, original, ...

Hello Hivers! Happy late Thanksgiving. Hope you guys had a good holiday weekend. Sorry about HiveLife being down the last few days, I was upgrading the server. There's a few kinks left, but those should be ironed out in the next few days. Wow, time went by so quick... almost forgot that 1 year ago, this whole project got started... wish I still remember exactly what my motivation was. Think it had something to do with this internet revolution, where everyone can express their thoughts and opinions on things... I wanted to connect these views, and make it easy for people to publish their thoughts, create a webpage for themselves with almost no boundaries. (Alot of technology can be easily used, CSS+Javascript)

Wow, almost one month exactly since the last . Hopefully you guys like the progress. This released was focused on automating most of the site. Include the Hive News, and Featured Member. Now you guys are responsible for electing the Featured member. There would be two Featured member a month, elected on the 1st and 15th of the month. Once the votes have been cast the new featured member would be elected, that member would have to accept his nomination, or loose risk of someone else ...

Not really much is new about the cosmetics, but the template engine is revamped. Timezone Feature Added

Timezone Feature is added- This must needed feature is now added, and is released earlier than it's package v0.08; Also dates set before the server change was set back 1 hour to be converted to GMT. Now all the dates are in Universal Time. The dates are displayed depending on the Timezone you choose and your Daylight Savings Setting. You can change these by going into Edit->Bio. The site's default timezone is -0500 US Eastern, daylight savings automatic.

Server Upgrade Success!

The Server Upgrade was a complete Success! HiveLife.com now resides on a Dual Intel Xeon 2.4 Ghz, computer with 4 GB worth of RAM. Also we now can support 1.7 GB worth of diskspace, and 55 GB of bandwith a month. Thats an 11 times increase over our past capabilities! You guys should notice a huge speed/reliability increase. This is all great, because now we have ample capacity for immediate growth in the coming future.
