Everyone loves a good dessert and every dessert lover knows all the hidden spots in town. From cookies to cake, something sugary is a great way to cheer you up after a long, hard day at the office. In our books, no city can ever have too many dessert shops so when we discover a hidden gem, it’s followed by an overwhelming excitement.
For those who like to enjoy the city’s sweeter offerings, meet Hong Kong based startup Studio Round. Founded by Annie Lee in late 2014 as a side project which has evolved into a full-time venture based out of her studio in Yau Ma Tei.
So what’s the verdict? We’ve tried several of their beautifully presented desserts and everything hits the spot. Our favourites had to be the green tea and black tea swiss rolls. It’s the perfect balance between a soft spongy cake and delicious rich creamy filling- great for an after dinner bite. If you’re planning to personalise your sugary treats, then you can order custom made cookies to make it your own. Is your mouth watering yet?
