Singapore-based SaaS provider, Kegmil, announces its successful pre-series A funding round led primarily by Mitsubishi Electric, raising a total of US$1.5 million.

Digital transformation remains at its peak as it becomes essential for businesses to adapt and overcome the challenges posed in the technologically advanced era. Technology catalyst FTV Labs established its subsidiary company in Singapore in 2018, Kegmil, with a similar purpose to support and empower those in labour-intensive roles and sectors with the aid of their digital solution.

Foreseeing great potential for the future of the field operations sector, the Singapore-based software firm had recently procured a substantial US$1.5 million in a pre-series A funding round, paving the way to accelerate its growth across the Southeast Asian region. The funding round was primarily led by Mitsubishi Electrics‘s ME Innovation Fund, as well as Origgin Capital, including participation from GHV Accelerator and Plug and Play Indonesia.

Moreover, the capital raised will be utilised to drive Kegmil’s future development and growth, while enhancing their product roadmap, in hopes of facilitating the progress and success of other key verticals, targeting construction, manufacturing, marine offshore, and renewable energy in the region.

Kegmil, as a software as a service (SaaS) startup, has incorporated the latest technological innovation and its data analytics tools to develop a cloud-based field service management and operations solution. It’s cloud-based, mobile-first software is designed to automate intelligently, while it effectively facilitates and improves operational efficiency, asset uptime, as well as service performance for workers in non-automated roles, including construction, logistics, manufacturing, and others.

Kelvin Ong, the Co-founder and CEO of FTV Labs, stated, “With rising demand for essential technical services and talent shortage, Kegmil aims to empower millions of deskless professionals with workflow automation and mobile-first technologies to drive operational efficiency, service performance, and knowledge retention.”

Kegmil has transformed access to and means of operation, maintenance, along with repairment of mission-critical facilities and assets via their intricate modes of channel integrating the efforts of the workers involved together with their technologically-advanced solution.

Following their recent procurement of seed funding,  FTV Labs has announced a partnership with Mitsubishi Electric to scale their business and expand reach across Southeast Asia, opening up several job positions, including software developers and marketing experts in Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.
