Craving some Indian food? Look no further than Bombay Dreams, one of Hong Kong’s most historic and decorated Indian institutions. The low price of HKD 198 will get you unlimited buffet food – including delectable seafood dishes, classic Indian curries, as well as other signature dishes and chef’s specials. Add on another HKD 168 to enjoy free-flow exotic cocktails, including the restaurant’s signature Bombay Mule. With a menu curated and cooked by Indian chefs, there aren’t many places better to enjoy a spicy Sunday brunch than Bombay Dreams, which has won numerous accolades over its 18 years of service.

Mr. Brown
Mr Brown’s brunch is perhaps one of the biggest bargains on our list, coming in at just HKD 148 for three courses. A neighbourhood smoke and grill house that takes its name from the Southern slang referring to the dark, smoky outside part of barbecued pork shoulder, you’ll find deliciously smoked meats cooked by the chefs over an open-fire grill and numerous bartenders shaking and stirring a range of exquisite cocktails at this cozy downtown spot. Meat-lovers will find the menu selection very enjoyable too, with items such as Jerk Chicken Skewer, BBQ Smoked Meatballs, and Picanha Steak all popular items on the menu. Try the burnt cheesecake or panna cotta for dessert, and don’t forget to add free-flow drinks for HKD 178.

Hotal Colombo
Head Chef and Sri Lankan native, Gisela Alesbrook serves up delicious Sri Lankan food at Hotal Colombo, one of Hong Kong’s less prominent cuisines. All dishes at this Elgin Street joint are made to be shared, but can also be eaten on their own. The food is incredibly flavourful and chock full of spice, but the spiciness is nuanced in flavour rather than overwhelmingly hot, meaning anyone with a decent level of spice tolerance will find it delicious. The brunch menu features some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes – including Cheese and Seeni Toasties and Cheese and Chilli Omelettes, but remember to try their signature cocktails too, such as the Ranatunga Peacock or Ginger Galle.

Mak Mak
We round our list off with Mak Mak, an excellent value-for-money Thai brunch option on Queen’s Road. HKD 298 will net you an unlimited selection of traditional Thai dishes, including Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice, and Crispy Soft Shell Crab, as well as various other salads, curries, soups, and appetizers. There’s also an extensive list of vegetarian and vegan options, meaning that customers with all sorts of dietary restrictions can be accommodated easily. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with the architecture being reminiscent of a 1960’s Bangkok grocery store. Add on an extra HKD 220 for free-flow Veuve Clicquot NV Champagne, Aperol Spritz, house wines and beer, and there’s even a “grab and go” counter if you’d like to take some signature Thai favorites home.
