RIMM Sustainability raises US$3 million in pre-series A funding round bringing sustainability solutions to SMEs through their platform.

Singapore-based sustainability platform, RIMM Sustainability, has raised a total of US$3million in its pre-series A round working to provide universal, accessible, and actionable ESG solutions for SMEs.

RIMM (Real Impact Matters Most) is an intuitive and comprehensive SaaS platform that provides businesses with intelligent tools for accessible and impactful sustainability management, reporting, and optimisation. Created and led by experts, RIMM’s platform emphasises inclusivity, opening up access to sustainability to all.

The funding round was led by venture capital fund BEENEXT and one of Japan’s most successful tech investors, Mamoru Taniya. The Aswani family of the conglomerate Tolaram Group and Atlas Asset Management were also key investors in the pre-series A round.

The funds secured will be used to develop and launch RIMM’s enhanced v2 platform which will release new features, as well as expand the startup’s team.

Hero Choudhary, Managing Partner at BEENEXT commented, “RIMM has an excellent product and team. We invested in RIMM because we believe in their ability to transform the state of sustainability for SMEs. The sustainability space is dominated by opaque solutions and expensive consulting driven models, RIMM’s easy-to-use platform is perfectly poised to disrupt this trend and help all companies, whether big or small, make a real impact.”

Launched just last year, the tech startup’s automated platform offers SMEs simplified and affordable sustainability-focused  guidance and solutions. Since its launch, RIMM has worked with key clients and partnerships, and was awarded a US$1 Million Green Finance grant from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and another from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Ravi Chidambaram, the CEO and Co-founder of RIMM Sustainability, added: “We are delighted to have closed our pre-series A round, the pedigree of our investors is testament to our team, our platform and our roadmap. This is a great step towards our goal to become the world’s largest sustainability platform and create an ecosystem where companies, citizens and stakeholders can engage to identify and solve the most pressing sustainability problems of today and tomorrow.”

Key features offered on the platform include industry-specific assessments aligned with global sustainability standards, performance benchmarking, expert-led guidance, curated insights, a Carbon Calculator, customised reports and data analysis, and strategy reporting.

Through these features, RIMM provides SMEs with a comprehensible and actionable way to start their sustainability journey. Through a user-friendly platform, businesses are given access to intelligent tools that enable sustainability management, reporting, and optimisation.
