After finding success as a teahouse, Peace – Oriental Teahouse has opened its second branch right in the heart of Sukhumvit 49.

Living in the mad rush of Bangkok streets, you may think it’s impossible to find a quiet moment to yourself. No matter how much you love the hustle and bustle of the city, sometimes it can wear you down. If you think silence is impossible to find, you’re wrong. There are dozens of places to find a calm spot in town and one of the places on our radar is Peace – Oriental Teahouse (Sukhumvit 49).

Founded by Teerachai Limpaitoon, the second branch to Bangkok’s best teahouse opened in September 2016 as a collaboration with Design Studio Spacy. Its latest chapter is located right in the heart of Sukhumvit 49 opposite to the Hive Thonglor and a short walk from Ekkamai BTS station.

The 70 square meter space is an impressive place for relaxation with an enveloping space that people will fall in love with. Teerachai aims to inspire locals by sourcing green tea from local farmers across Asia whilst bringing forward the Eastern philosophy hidden in the tea drinking culture.

The new teahouse is probably one of the most peaceful spots you can find in this busy district. There’s a feeling of warmth and durability which is captured by the wooden furnishing and modern minimalist decorative elements. Of course, the highlight is the tea selection but we love sitting by the low tables with the floor-to-ceiling windows letting natural light come in. Simple is beautiful.
