Kennedy Town has welcomed a perfect new addition to its trendy district with popular speciality coffee and smoothie bar, Blend & Grind, opening on Catchick Street, and the shop’s third location in Hong Kong. Open all day, the cafe is celebrated for its amazing blend of coffee beans and housemade classics.
Blend & Grind was founded in 2017 by foodpreneur Jonny Rees, and initially started as a smoothie concept startup and later evolved into the trendy speciality coffee and smoothie bar it is known as today. Former Hong Kong International rugby player turned entrepreneur, and successful proprietor of F&B names R&R Bagels and Chief’s Blend, Jonny assembled his businesses around the finest coffee and most delectable refreshments to create a space for locals to experience a cosy natural environment in the trendiest and most happening locations of the city.
The new Kennedy Town location is a must-visit for coffee and brunch enthusiasts, where they can relish their first dose of caffeine for the day with a delightful and mouth-watering brunch, and end a busy workday with their much-needed speciality Classic Espresso Martini. The indoor-outdoor space is just the place to be for day-to-day hustling, with its spacious interior and welcoming ambience, making it an ideal destination to work, eat, chill, and relax. And without any doubt, their delicious brunch menu takes the lead as its main attraction, with attractive offerings for a quick lunch, casual work gathering, or even a fun weekend social.
Designed by Architect Ō Droma Design Development (ŌDDD), the 2,000 square foot cafe bar in the heart of Kennedy Town hallmarks a wooden rustic-industrial interior and can host up to 65 people in one setting. The warm and welcoming space for the local community also includes a large dog-friendly outdoor area, accommodating pet owners in the town.
Blend & Grind’s eclectic, wholesome menu features daily brunch items, served from 8am till 4pm, including delicious açaí bowls and fresh bagels, as well as sumptuous grilled chicken, and plenty more tasty options.
Additionally, their unique in-house coffee blends are hard-to-miss covering all the sorts and a range of speciality coffee, including the all-time favourite light-medium, roasted White Edition sourced from Ethiopia and Brazil. They will also be introducing a refreshing selection of healthy tea blends, fresh smoothies, juices, and other special infusions.
