The leading global FinTech event of Asia is returning this year from October 31st to November 4th, hosting a hybrid conference and events both in person and virtually. Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), along with the Hong Kong government’s Treasury Bureau, will be holding their seventh edition of Hong Kong FinTech Week 2022 (HKFW) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wan Chai.
Bringing together an even more impressive line-up of speakers, the event will be inspired by the theme of “Pushing Boundaries, Reaping Benefits,” this year, exploring four key topics: global FinTech outlook, FinTech in Mainland China and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the implementation of emerging technologies, and digital assets.

Speakers will explore Hong Kong’s FinTech scene’s potential alongside Asia, and the world, and how government policies, regulatory frameworks, and key partnerships will help to realise this aspiration.
Exploring the “Implementation of Emerging Technology,” Hong Kong’s unique tech ecosystem has been an appropriate setting for bringing FinTech innovations to life and facilitate development in prominent areas such as RegTech, Trade Finance,
InsurTech, Mobile Payments, Digital Banking, and more. Learn how emerging technologies are shaping the future of finance, unlock new opportunities, and get inspired by some of the most innovative use cases in the market.
HKFW has positioned Hong Kong as the Asia hub for FinTech in Web3, as the city continues to adopt “Digital Assets” and the government begins to explore regulatory frameworks to unlock the potential of Web3, metaverse, blockchain, and other important emerging technologies.
The HKMA is expected to speak on the potential of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and “e-CNY” at their policy statement.
