As the Hive celebrates its 10th anniversary, the Hive North Bridge Road and the Hive Tanjong Pagar join the Hive Singapore, doubling the flexible workspace operator’s footprint in the region.
2022 marks the tenth year of operation for the Hive, a regional flexible office and coworking network operating across the Asia Pacific region (APAC) that opened its first location in Wan Chai, Hong Kong in 2012.
This year also marks the Hive doubling in size in Singapore through its acquisition of Found8 workspaces. Joining the Hive Carpenter and the Hive Lavender, the two new locations are on the fringe of the central CBD at North Bridge Road and Tanjong Pagar.
The Hive Central x CCG Commons also launched in Hong Kong as part of the Hive’s second management agreement with leading Hong Kong based property developer, ChinaChem Group.
The Chairman of The Flexi Group and Founder of the Hive, serial entrepreneur Constant Tedder shared, “We’ve been incredibly lucky to have been propelled through Covid by our fantastic members and passionate team. We have stuck to the basic knitting of getting location, space, service and community right and I’m super proud of our team across the board. Despite the economic headwinds we are extremely bullish for the future of flexible working.”
Another key milestone for the Hive in 2022 has been its merger with regionally recognised brands Common Ground and The Cluster to form The Flexi Group – the largest network of flexible workspaces in APAC.
“We see an incredible opportunity to expand our network organically via landlord partnerships and through acquisitions by rolling up independent operators and offering their founders a way to grow as part of the Flexi Group. Our past 10 years has been all about learning and growing up with our members. Now we can take bigger strides as we build this business across the region,” Constant added.
Continued expansion is planned for 2023 and beyond as the Hive, now under The Flexi Group, is forecasting to grow to 100 locations in the next three years, with multiple acquisition prospects in Australia and Indonesia lined up for early 2023.
On Saturday, the 12th of November, the Hive commemorated its achievements with a successful charity run, silent auction fundraiser, and luncheon in its flagship Sheung Wan location, bringing together its wide decade-strong community for a day of celebration. All proceeds will be donated to ImpactHK, Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation, and A Plastic Ocean Foundation, and all are welcome to continue to donate to these important causes for the duration of November 2022 via Give Asia.
