FWD’s #stayhomemoments campaign is offering all foodpanda customers 45 days of free coronavirus insurance until 15 May 2020. The scheme includes a hospital cash benefit of HKD 5,000 per week, once diagnosed, for up to 8 weeks and a death benefit of HKD 200,000 if a registered customer is diagnosed with COVID-19 and passes away as a direct result within the Coverage Period.

Each customer is required to submit an application online and meet eligibility requirements – the campaign is open to Hong Kong or Macau ID cardholders, aged 18 and above. Applicants can also extend their coverage free-of-charge to all of their children, aged below 18, as long as they reside at the same address. The coverage will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, subject to quotas and terms and conditions.

All foodpanda delivery staff and employees will also be covered by FWD’s #stayhomemoments in a “token of appreciation” for their tireless support in serving Hong Kong citizens during the outbreak, according to Ken Lau, FWD Managing Director of Greater China and Hong Kong CEO. The initiative hopes to encourage more widespread adoption of social distancing in Hong Kong.
