Hoshay Food launches new plant-based food line of ready-to-eat, ready-to-cook meals including the Crispy Fried Chicken and Teriyaki Unagi.
Singapore-based alternative protein company Hoshay Food has released a plant-based line featuring a range of dishes from a variety of cuisines.
The production of one pound of meat uses up to 10 pounds of grain and 2,500 gallons of water, livestock occupying 45% of the planet’s total land, which means 1 – 2 acres of rainforest are cleared every second. Recent global events highlighted by Earth Month show demonstrate the importance of sustainability, however part of the root of this issue for everyday consumers lies in our food ecosystems.
Hoshay Food’s new plant-based series is backed by 26 years of manufacturing experience, working to make a difference by reducing the environmental impact of conventional meal choices through natural and nutritious alternatives.

“More ethical, more sustainable and more options, that is what our latest food series is all about. We have always been passionate about creating tasty meat alternatives to better our health, the environment and animal welfare, while expanding consumers’ choices. As such our latest three series of plant-based products are specially developed to satisfy taste buds and at the same time be responsible for our increased consumption,” elaborated Chris Ooi, the CEO of Hoshay Food.
Using all natural ingredients, including tofu and shiitake mushrooms, favourites from the ready-to-eat line include the Hoshay Crispy Fried Chicken, which is pre-fried and seasoned with herbs and spices, and the Hoshay Unagi, which comes drizzled with a vegan teriyaki sauce.
Offering classic tastes and western delights, Hoshay Food’s guilt-free snack and ready-to-go products are perfect for those looking for delicious meals with a reduced environmental impact. They are a convenient option for people on the go who do not have too much time to make active eco-conscious choices in their cooking.
Everyone can make an impact, and even food preferences, choices, and eating habits makes a difference.
Hoshay Food’s plant-based delights are available to enjoy in restaurants at Jollibean Vegan, The Rebel Company Café & Bar, FITTHREE, Tonichi Tsukemen, and Southwest Punggol in Singapore.
